VOTE HERE!
#ICYMI – Girl Boss Sports has been participating in a contest put on by the Business Impact NW for the last few months and we are excited to announce that we have made it to the 3rd of 4 rounds! We need your help to make it to the FINAL round where if selected, our CEO Sarah Wolfer will be making a live pitch to a panel of three judges selected from the Pacific Northwest Business Community. This event will be taking place on September 19th 2019 and tickets are available now HERE. 5 startups and 5 established businesses will be selected to move forward to this final round of the competition.
In order to make it to this final round, each final company (there are 22 remaining) had to create and submit a 4 minute video addressing what the business does, what problem it is solving, and the positive impact on the community we will have. As of today, we are now entering the voting phase of the competition and it is now YOUR chance to make your voice heard and help Girl Boss Sports win! You are able to vote once per day from (from each IP address) from August 19th through August 28th and EVERY vote counts! You can click THIS LINK to vote and make sure you add it to your favorites for the next couple weeks to vote daily for Girl Boss Sports to advance to the final round. Please share this with your friends and family to help spread the word.
Girl Boss Sports has the chance to win a $10K Cash Prize going toward the company and ultimately helping toward us work toward our two goals:
1) Keeping girls in sports because girls are dropping out at twice the rate of boys by the age of 14, and by the age of 17 half of all girls who WERE playing sports have now dropped out.
2) Increasing the number of women sports coaches as there are simply too few of us – for example for soccer in the US, only 21% of coaches are women and globally it is only 7%.
You can find out more about how we are working toward these two goals by tuning into our #ImpactPitch video available at the link above.
Thanks for your continued support of Girl Boss Sports and the female athletes and coaches in the Pacific Northwest community.
