Carly personally trained goalkeepers through college hosting technical, fun and competitive camps for youth and teenagers. She loves giving her time to younger generations because she understands the value of mentorship and how essential it is to have role models to look up to and follow. She strives to be the role model she needed to have when she was growing up.
As a member of the LGBTQ+, Carly is passionate about being an advocate for the youth who fall into that community, As she continues her career in the NWSL she hopes her time as a professional female athlete will allow the LGBTQ+ youth to be empowered to stay true to themselves. She hopes that she can help them see the rare gifts and talents they bring into the world. She also stands as an advocate and safe space for the youth to look for when the support needed is not provided.
She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in positive psychology. Currently she is writing a book to bring more awareness to the struggles and challenges of members in the community. She is seeking to influence more inclusivity with the LGBTQ+ and rid the inaccurate stigma and negative conversation surrounding it. She is from a small town called Lindon, which can be found in the heart of Utah.
