Ella holds lessons from 8am-5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Delong Park – 4702 S 12th St, Tacoma, WA 98405
Ella is a 26 year old EMT who was adopted from China by an American mom, Norwegian dad and has lived in China, Norway, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Ella knows what it’s like to be the new kid in different situations and exudes an easy-going, kind demeanor. When she is not busy working as an EMT, she likes to do 1000+ piece puzzles, hike, skateboard and snowboard.
Ella started playing soccer at the age of 5, mainly playing after school and during recess with the boys. When she was 9, she joined a girls’ team in her Norwegian hometown. A few years later, nearby towns developed a girls team and at age 15, she was chosen to try out for the U16 regional team. Excelling at all sports, during high school in Nepal, Ella was also on the swim, basketball and volleyball teams. Living back in Norway at age 18, Ella joined the local women’s club team which included players between 18-40.
Ella has helped to coach soccer clinics in the past for 5-6 year olds that focused on fundamentals and skills, all while having fun. She enjoys being the coach who encourages young players along the way with positive affirmations, works with them on setting attainable goals, builds confidence, believes in them, and first and foremost promotes fun. Ella is very excited about the development of Girl Boss Sports because all through high school she had great female coaches and Ella knows that girls bond with women differently than with male coaches. She loves to inspire Girl Boss Sports athletes in the same way that her coaches did for her.
