McKenzie began playing soccer at the age of five and has been in love with the sport ever since! She played premier level soccer for 7 years with Eastside FC and 2 years with ISC Gunners. McKenzie has extensive experience competitively playing center defender and outside/center midfield. She was the captain on her Eastside FC team for 6 years. McKenzie has always been known as a leader on and off the field, and she is excited to be apart of Girl Boss Sports empowering players to reach their full potential!
McKenzie just graduated from Seattle Pacific University where she studied Education and Communications. Throughout her college years, she played on many intermural soccer teams where she was the team captain and often held practices during off-season for players to continue training. McKenzie has done private training with elementary aged kids the past 4 years in Seattle. She has also coached a couple girls’ soccer teams through the Issaquah Soccer Club.
She says, “the most rewarding thing is watching players grow confidence in themselves and in their passion for soccer.”
In addition to McKenzie’s playing and coaching experience, she has been a nanny in the greater Seattle area for the past 6 years, and absolutely loves spending time with kids! Parents often compliment McKenzie on her patience, genuine care, flexibility, and enthusiasm when watching their kids. She shares that she is passionate about creating a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment for kids to be creative and grow in character development. When McKenzie isn’t nannying or playing/coaching soccer, you can find her at a local Seattle coffee shop spending time with friends or reading a good book. She also enjoys basketball, spikeball, biking, and hiking.
