Liz started playing at the age of 7, and although she was dragged to her first practice, she quickly fell in love with the sport and is greatly thankful for that.

She played club soccer for Seattle United all through middle and high school until she was eventually recruited by Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and received a degree in neuroscience and a minor in biology.

Playing soccer in college was one of the best decisions of her life, as she was able to continue her love of playing while also building a strong community among fellow student athletes. At Macalester, she got to experience first-hand the strength of some incredible female coaches who pushed her as a player, and leader, on and off the field. During her time with Macalester she also played about every position on field, aside from keeper, which gave her the opportunity to learn the different aspects of each position. Her first job in high school was with Lil’ Kickers, a soccer and developmental program for young kids. Through this job she coached kids from as young as 18 months old to 10 years old.

Outside of soccer you can find her working mind solving puzzles, hiking, and exploring parks around Seattle. Post-grad she is planning on pursuing a career in physical therapy and is planning to apply to grad school in the next couple of years. Liz is excited to meet the kids that she will be coaching and to help create the best soccer experience she can!

She wants to be able to be able to help players feel confident through repetition and visualization of various game type situations. She also wants to make sure that having fun is of the utmost importance because today’s game gets too stressful when it is truly meant to be enjoyed with a competitive spirit AND a smile on your face.

When she is not playing soccer, she enjoys exploring her city and has discovered that there are tons of outdoorsy activities to do in Houston. She loves to bike around the trails, hike, play spike, hit the walking trails, or find a nice shady spot to get her namaste on. She is quite the coffee fiend and loves to find new cafes to try. Jennifer has played soccer since she was 6 years old. Starting in recreational, going to club and eventually playing in her college league, she considers herself an avid student of the game. “I was always a great student in school so it is not a surprise that I would apply the love of learning to the beautiful game of soccer. I will jump out of my seat watching a player make just the right touch to beat someone, or the patience to contain in defense under pressure. It’s those small details that are practiced continually that make exceptional players.”

Jennifer is not new to coaching or working with youth. In college she served as a youth counselor at Texas MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Leadership camps and was selected as a trainer for incoming camp counselors. She served as a boys’ soccer coach for Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Florida, and recently started to coach again Austin, Texas.

She was a former member of St. Mary’s University’s Division II soccer team; Jennifer has continued to play both competitive and recreational outdoor and indoor soccer as well as coed futsal. Although she is a more seasoned player in her current league, she has enjoyed altering her skill set you remain competitive. Jennifer manages and serves as a captain on the Round Rock women’s soccer team while playing on defense and formerly was a volunteer board member of the team. Jennifer cannot wait to get this online program starting!

What They’re Saying

Girl Boss is very cool! My girls (9 and 11) are having so much fun in Jennifer's class right now! Thank you for partnering with them. Awesome!

ZannaAbout "Whole Athlete Soccer Training"

My son hasn't been playing soccer for several months and I wasn't expecting him to get much out of the class but he really enjoyed it! He was engaged the whole time, got a great workout and he even spoke during the Q&A which was something he typically would not do. We are looking forward to doing more sessions!

FundaMother about "Whole Athlete Soccer Training"

This was a great and fun way to get back into soccer this season. I recommend to my friends.

MahalBoy, 14 y.o. about "Whole Athlete Soccer Training"

I signed my 13-yr-old son up for the class yesterday. At first, he didn’t really want to participate – he thought “it was just for young girls, not older boys” (like him). But then after a few minutes, he got into it. And, he liked it so much that he wanted to sign up for another class tonight – so he is signed up for the 6:00 class tonight! He liked the ball skill work. He has been so cooped up in our house, with spring/summer sports canceled, because of the pandemic – and now with the wildfire smoke – that he (and I) are happy to be moving around – even if it is just in our living room.

Erin13 y/o boy's mother about "Whole Athlete Soccer Training"

She's always very positive about these bootcamps and loves the focus on fun and ball touches. When I'm outside in the yard I hear Coach Jackie giving individualised feedback to each girl including my daughter. Honestly, it's a ridiculous value!

Aaron11 y/o client's father

Gigi also takes private virtual lessons with Mandi and she LOVES these sessions. She always tells me about a new drill or technique they worked on together. Gigi mentions that Mandi isn't just a talking head on the video call, but she actually demonstrates the drills and techniques for Gigi. When I asked Gigi where we should go on our short vacation before school started, she asked if we could go to Olympia and do an in-person session with Mandi.

Aaron11 y/o client's father

In comparison between her zoom soccer sessions with her club soccer and virtual sessions with your crew, your crew stands out as much more engaged, and working with the technological constraints much better.

Aaron11 y/o client's father

Thank you for your organization. Your coaching crew are the first female coaches my daughter has had (in 6 years playing soccer) and I know it will make a lasting impression on her!
